Meaning 'Gold' in Luganda, Zaabu is a support group for HIV+ women to become self-sufficent and live an independent lifestyle. This is accomplished through learning sewing and crafting skills to create beautiful handmade goods, such as dolls, bags and jewellery. These goods are sold in markets throughout Uganda and online across the world, resulting in the women generating income for their families.
