COME Child Sponsorship is $40.00 per month, per child. There are many needy, poverty stricken children, some who are orphaned from poverty, disease or AIDS, who need your help desperately. Each sponsored child receives breakfast and lunch, two uniforms including black shoes and a sweater, all school materials required., medical and dentalexpenses, toothpaste and toothbrush, and transport to and from school if required. Their education will be at one of Uganda's few good schools with fresh water, hygienic new latrines, well lit, ventilated classrooms, qualified teachers, a caring Christian environment for them to realise their God-given potential and receive the gift of learning.
Each child who needs sponsorship has a card with a brief outline of their personal information and a photo put together by COME Uganda and forwarded to COME Australia.
Family Sponsorship has two types of sponsorship levels depending on their need:
The first level is $35 per month, per family. This is sponsorship for families affected by AIDS to allow them to have a better diet and some medication. Many AIDS victims are unable to work and support their families as well as pay for necessary medication for themselves and any of their children which may also have AIDS. Good nutrition and health are vital for sufferers, and this is rarely available in Uganda. Your Family Sponsorship allows a family suffering from AIDS to have a better diet, eat more nutritional foods, have the necessary medication and support their family.
The second level is $50 per month, per family. For larger families affected by AIDS to allow them to meet some of their needs including rent, medication and food. If an AIDS victim is the sole provider for the family, when they become ill, even the day-to-day needs are unable to be met. Your sponsorship allows them to have a roof over their head, aquire the medication they need, have a better diet, and eat more nutritional foods to allow their family to survive despite their condition.
COME Pastor Sponsorship: Uganda is predominately a Christian nation. Even so, there is corruption, bloodshed, poverty, bribery and disease rife throughout the nation. Many people have never heard the name of Jesus. Who better to tell them than one of their own people who have been trained, discipled and demonstrated God's love and the Christian faith by COME.
COME has recognised the desparate need for Ugandan Pastors to rise up and take their nation for God.
Pastors Sponsorship is $100.00 per month. This amount can be taken up by a church or business, or shared by two sponsors. Unless a pastor has personal finances, he cannot support himself and his family without working. If he works, he is then not effective in ministry. The sponsorship program allows him to look after his personal and family needs as well as having time for the ministry. Your Pastors Sponsorship releases Pastors to have full-time effective ministry and still be able to eat! Imagine the effect that sponsoring a pastor will have on the Kingdom, possibly hundreds or thousands may be saved because of your willingness to release a Ugandan Pastor.
